At Newcastle Private Hospital we offer compassionate cancer care by combining essential medical treatment with care and sensitivity towards your mental and emotional wellbeing.

We offer a comprehensive, integrated and holistic program led by expert cancer specialists, doctors and nurses whose professional life is committed to your wellbeing.

Newcastle Private is aligned with eviQ – Cancer Institute’s evidence-based resource for Cancer Treatment protocols.

Your cancer care in one location

We’re an integrated multidisciplinary cancer service, all in one location. Onsite we offer chemotherapy and immunotherapies for inpatients and outpatients in our day infusion centre and dedicated oncology ward.

Access to radiology, pathology, haematology, specialist surgery, and symptom management in our oncology unit with a team of dedicated nursing and allied health professionals working together for you.

Personalised treatment

Being diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment can be a really tough time for our patients and their families, and as such, we’re here to support your mental health and wellbeing.

All patients have access to on-site allied health support including a stomal therapy nurse, dietitian, psychologist and palliative care.  Inpatient physiotherapist and occupational therapist services are also available.

We can help you access off-site counsellors and social workers and connect you with Cancer Council Newcastle.

Our teams all work closely and collaborate so they’re across all aspects of your treatment to ensure you receive the best possible care.

We are supported by a clinical trials unit, enabling patients to access trials looking for new and better ways of detecting, diagnosing and treating cancer. Clinical trials conducted at Newcastle Private Hospital gives patients access to promising new medications, treatments or tests before they are widely available.

We can also help you access the Look Good, Feel Better program which supports adults and teens to manage appearance-related side effects and boost confidence whilst going through treatment.

And as a private patient you’ll be able to choose your own specialist.
